We set this blog up so that parents and others in the community can follow along with our cooking activities in the classrooms and our gardening adventures on the playgrounds of Mount Kisco Child Care Center.
The Feed Me Fresh garden to table nutrition program is one of a kind.
Teachers prepare food with children in the classroom every week from a curriculum of over 50 child tested and approved health supportive recipes.
Outside on the playground, children and their teachers take part in every level of growing food (and herbs!) from seeding, weeding, watering, harvesting and even seed saving.
You can easily receive email updates of our blog posts which will include recipes, garden tips and other information by signing up on the upper right hand corner of this page.
Looking forward to sharing lots of food based information with you!
Susan Rubin, Feed Me Fresh Program Coordinator.
Thank you for this info. I am so excited to read more posts. I love your photos and have been using the hummus recipe. I can’t wait to hear about the smoothies and always love updates on the composting and earthworms, too. And about how things are growing in the garden, what’s good this year! This is super!
